Frequently Asked Questions

What is Degreasing?
Degreasing is the removal of Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) from Surfaces, hard and soft. FOG sticks and adheres to surfaces and can harden when exposed to heat and cold cycles of temperature. The first mechanism of degreasing is to penetrate the FOG and then to remove it from the surface.
Why should I DEGREASE before cleaning?
The first step is to break the film of FOG which is spread over the greasy surface. This requires a dynamic wetting characteristic.
The Second is to break the FOG into smaller entities by three mechanisms; Saponifying the FOG (water dispersible), Detergency (tugging and pulling the FOG in to the water) and Dissolving some of the FOG into a water-soluble entity.
The Third mechanism is to get water below the layer of FOG and to lift it from the Surface, this is called, ‘Water-wetting’.
After the three steps take place, the surface is clean of FOG.

DyneCraft’s Degreasers 7300, 7311 and 6325 are designed to perform all the mentioned steps in an Efficient, Synchronized manner to remove FOG quickly.
What is ‘Biodegradable or Biodegradation’ and what is ‘Readily Biodegradable?
Biodegradable – A material is considered biodegradable, if the material can breakdown and digest into the environment, soil, water or atmosphere into acceptable products such as water, carbon dioxide and biomass by the action of naturally available microorganisms under normal environmental conditions existing in the local area of disposal. This rate of this process is not considered in the above definition.
Readily Biodegradable – If the above described and defined process progresses at a higher rate and without initiation and addition of energy input, then the material is considered Readily Biodegradable.

DyneCraft’s Degreasers 7300, 7311, 6325 and Odor Destroyers 1401 and 4501 are made of Readily Biodegradable Ingredients.
What is a Sustainable Product?
In the broadest perspective, A Sustainable Product refers to the ability to purchase and efficiently use a minimum amount product continuously over time; mainly because of the negligible or no impact to the environment and the economic affordability of the product, continuously over time. In business and policy contexts, sustainability pursues to prevent the depletion of natural and physical resources, so that they will be preserved for the long term.
All of DyneCraft’s Products are Sustainable due to the choice of ingredient and the clever combination which allow for a minimal amount of material to efficiently produce the results. DyneCraft’s Plant based Degreaser 6325, Malodor Destroyer 1401 and Malodor Eliminator 4501 are madefrom Natural Products and via processes which are 100% Sustainable.
What is a Safe Product?
A Safe Product is ONE which does NOT possess properties and attributes which pose Safety, Health and Environmental RISKS to the Users, Handlers and Transporters.
All of DyneCraft’s Products are Safe.
All of DyneCraft’s Products are Water-based, NON-Flammable, NON-Corrosive, NON-Fuming.
How much do I use?
As a General Idea, for reasons of Ecology and Economy, USE the least to get the work done to the satisfaction of the user.
A Specific advice: Use the Principle of TACT: Time – Agitation – Concentration – Temperature
If the FOG requires a Higher Concentration, because of the amount of FOG or Grime – Use a slightly higher Concentration
If the FOG requires a Higher degree of Scrubbing or Agitation, because of adhesion – Scrub harder
If the FOG requires more Time due to the Age or baked in condition, Allow more Dwell time after applying Degreaser to the difficult spot.
If the FOG is thick, hard and in baked in condition, Use Higher Temperature Water to the difficult spot of FOG.
